Each one of us has the incredible power to do something positive to affect others. Inspired by all that the Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce has done to support Black owned businesses during the pandemic by offering grants and technological assistance, I decided to do what I could to help fund their second effort.

Our first holiday fundraising effort was a great success with 10% of the day's sales donated to the OAACC to continue their impactful work. On a pre Thanksgiving Sunday, almost 100 guests joined me and my fabulous team at the Claremont Hotel to seed the OAACC's Resiliency Fund,  shop our latest collections, and gather in community. Over hors d'oeuvres, desserts and champagne, friends new and old connected and reconnected with long missed hugs and laughter.

A huge thanks to both Union Bank and City National Bank for recognizing the advocacy the chamber provides to Oakland's business leaders, and for generously sponsoring our fundraiser  as a continuation of their own community building initiatives.

As you can see from the photos below, doing good  feels (and looks!) good. We're already looking forward to using our skill set to help others in 2022!
